Aconite with its suddenness, caught out by exposure to dry, cold wind is the remedy most used at this time of year.
Acute pain together with burning thirst, fever and restlessness hits the most robust of patients, inflammation with flushed, red cheek completes the picture.
Could be a picture of Otitis, Croup or Opthalmia if the symptom picture fits.
